50 Books for Our Time: What to Read Now and Why

An article in the July 13 issue of Newsweek lists “50 Books for Our Time: What to Read Now and Why.”  It’s not  a “best of” or “greatest books” list, but a list of titles that “open a window on the times we live in, whether they deal directly with the issues of today or simply help us see ourselves in new and surprising ways.”  The list begins with Anthony Trollope’s The Way We Live Now.  An interesting choice….
